i’m using maxis carier prepaid..using SBSettings will help..i can disable/enable edge/gprs/wifi..thank you..yahoooooo

If you are not on an unlimited data plan or filthy rich, and just want to use data service over WIFI or whenever you want to, better turn off cellular data. Many didn’t know that all those advertisements in free apps and even in Cydia (Jailbreak Management app), cost money… so my advice is turn off.

i have iPhone 2G (3.1.3 firmware) …use the SBSetting and it work,before this i try “fake APN” blablabla but still not working,..Thanks to SBSetting

Has anyone seen the setting feature once 3GS version is upgraded to iOS 4? Under Setting/General/network/cellular data can be turned off. I believe it is like SBSetting turning off E/Data feature. Good luck!

Just sharing my 2cents, I’m from malaysia, using maxis as line carrier. After a week, trying various firmware from 3.0 to 3.1, yesterday i’m upgrade to 3.1.2 then jailbreak using spirit, add sbsetting through cydia, then I can control toggle button for “3G” and “E/Data”. Btw, after all done, I press home and start button for 10secs for iPhone reboot, when apple logo show up in my screen, release both button and wait until my iPhone wake up. After that I try both connection, so the summary is if I want used internet/browse/remote = Make sure “ON” my “3G” and “E/Data” toggle button and if I don’t want to used it, I off both connection or “E/Data” only. Thats all.

in the event that wifi signal is unavailable which you may not have noticed the iPhone will automatically connect to GPRS, EDGE or 3G depending on availability
