y need to turn off edge..edge is the network connection for the phone..

for iphone 2g user juz make sure fetch new data (go to setting) is turn off…if its turn on then any apps which been configured to fetch new data( e.g: new email. notification from facebook etc) will fetch or push new data onto the phone which result extra charges by telco company (will be quite expensive if iphone using edge,not 3g data plan)

for iphone 3g user same approach juz make sure push(check in setting) is off if not using internet or browsing via 3g data plan or wifi.

yaa rite…i just went to maxis complaint bout my 3g.i dont use it( they promise to turn off all the such thing) but i still have to pay for it.when i complaint it…they said ‘what u expect u use iphone’…so rude!

try use SBSettings 3.0.5… phonenodata, Fake APN and BossPrefs 3.0.4 doesn’t stop 3G/Edge on my celcom prepaid.

Hi everyone, I am using my iPhone 3G 3.1.2 on my Celcom line. I’ve tried iphonenodata and also Fake APN but both also doesn’t stop 3G/Edge on my phone. Is there any way to do this for Celcom?. I tried on Digi the iphonenodata method and it works fine but not for Celcom.

Further to my previous post, I contacted the sim provider ad asked them to turn off EDGE/3G for my sim card and they did.

No more problem for me
