For the past few month, I have been posted few article about Malaysia iPhone Apps and look like more & more iPhone developer from Malaysia. Today I would like to share another iPhone Apps from Malaysia.

iWorry – Worry Journal for the iPhone.

Released: Jul 30, 2010 Version:1.0
Size 0.7 MB
Language:English

Requirements: Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Requires iPhone OS 3.0 or later.

Keep a worry list – Write your worries down the moment they occur. This serves to get rid of them from your mind so you can use your time to get something else done.

Schedule worry time – Only at the appointed time that you think through your worries. At other time, you can say to yourself “This is a non-productive worry. Let me write this down on my worry list for worry time. Right now I will use my time to get something else done.”

Have a worry place – At the scheduled time, go to a place where you can be alone (but accessible).

Think and decide – At the worry place, for each of the worries in your list, think through it and then either delete it from the list if it’s no longer relevant or note down your decision, action, solution, or other remarks.

iWorry has a few advantages over the page-based notepad:

It runs on your iPhone and/or iPod touch which you carry with you almost all the time (if not all the time). That makes it convenient for you to write down your worries the moment they occur.

You can categorize each worry with a tag and later on filter your list of worries by a tag. This is useful during worry time when you want to focus on those worries related to a particular area.

You can’t see your list of worries when the worry time is not reached yet. This discipline yourself to review your worries only during your appointed time.

When you think through each worry in your list, you can write down your decision, action, solution, or other remarks; delete it from the list if it’s no longer relevant; or keep it in the list for future review.

Worries that have been reviewed are kept in a separate area for future reference. They will not interfere with your current list of worries.

Stores unlimited number of worries in both Worry List and Logbook.

You can password protect iWorry to prevent undesired access to your private information.

Planning to get an Apple iPhone? 2G, 3G or 3GS? I’m sure you will get 3G. You should be able to order your iPhone 3GS Now! Yet this is NOT available in Malaysia!

According yo my sources, Maxis ordered more than 100 thousand iPhone 3G during to recent launch. So what do you think about an official iPhone 3G S will be available in Malaysia?

A number of MacRumors readers have reported that Apple and AT&T have begun updating order statuses and providing UPS tracking numbers for their iPhone 3G S orders. In the case of orders placed with Apple, shipments are being dispatched from Shenzhen, China and are due for delivery on Friday, the official launch date for the iPhone 3G S. Orders made through AT&T are appearing as “in progress” on customers’ order status pages and have been assigned tracking numbers, although the shipments do not appear to have yet been picked up by UPS.

Visible signs of AT&T‘s and Apple’s preparations for the launch of the new iPhone, as well as the corresponding release of iPhone OS 3.0 for older devices this Wednesday, have begun appearing in the days leading up to the new releases. Over the weekend, AT&T also sold out of its initial iPhone 3G S pre-order allotment, meaning that those who wish to obtain an iPhone 3G S from AT&T on launch day will have to do so in-person at an AT&T retail store.

Why Would I Want to Use This WordPress Plugin?

As all of us know that, there are no “Official unlock” iPhone in Malaysia from any of our Mobile Service Provider until Mid of March 2009 (Maxis come out plan for iPhone 3G by mid of March 2009, you can get it with Holy High price).

For those who get their iPhone 2G or 3G from whatever way and use them in Malaysia, normally is Jailbreak set.

What do we mean Jailbreak? iPhone, by default, is locked to one of the Mobile Service Provider, like AT&T. You can only use AT&T simcard and service if you go through the “normal” way. It will NOT work on Maxis, Digi, or Celcom.

So, how do we enable an iPhone <in Malaysia and use with our Local Mobile Service Provider? We jailbreak and unlock the iPhone.

An iPhone, new open from the box, once power on, you will see the iTune connect screen, you have the slide bar, but it can only make emergency call. You connect the iPhone into computer with the USB cable, iTune (I assume you installed iTune in your computer before you connect the iPhone into it, you should do it that way.) will tell you unrecognized simcard and it is not supported.

In-order for you to continue from this point, is to Jailbreak it. There might be lots of ways out there which can do the Jailbreak, I am sharing ONE of it here. QuickPwn! Install the software and .NET Framework 1.x and 2.x into your computer before you proceed net steps (btw, the software need .NET Framework 1.x or 2.x, I am not sure, but it needs one of it to work. so Please install that as well, else you will get error when startup QuickPwn).

Run the software, connect your iPhone to your computer with the USB cable provided in the box, and following step by step as the software ask you to do. You will need the iPhone Firmware which match your iPhone, if you get your iPhone within these 2-3 months (23rd March 2009), then you might get Firmware 2.2 or 2.2.1. Download the Firmware in advance is a better way, else the download process will make you crazy for waiting since each of the ipsw file is about 250MB in size.

OK, now you get the Firmware, and you “open” it when QuickPwn asking for it, and QuickPwn give you a big green tick after a few second of checking, you are good to go for next step.

QuickPwn will ask you to press the HOME >button for 5 seconds, then press the Power button on top of the iPhone together (both together, don’t release the HOME button) for 10 seconds, then release the Power button BUT continue pressing the HOME button for 30 seconds (normally the next action in QuickPwn will start when it reached ~21 – 18 seconds), iPhone will start showing you a Harddisk image, you may then release the HOME button. It will reboot itself and startup with a running Pineapple image with progress bar after the Harddisk image. Just sit back and relax.

*** IF you failed to follow the instruction asked by QuickPwn, reboot your iPhone and start the whole process again.

After iPhone restarted, you will see the lovely wallpaper with the “slide to unlock” slide bar, then you will see those sweet icons (sounds so… ). Don’t be too happy yet. You just done Jailbreak, BUT not yet unlock, means you may use your iPhone as iPod but not a phone yet. It still don’t know who the hell is Maxis, or Digi, or Celcom.

Now you need your home WiFi setup into iPhone so that it can go into internet and download the very famous unlock tool – yellowsn0w (Special thanks to DEV Team).

BTW, if after you done all these and you DO NOT get your simcard recognized after 5 – 10 minutes, most properly is because:

2) Your Simcard with simcard pin code, which yellowsn0w is not supported.

or

3) You done something wrong in the middle.

Double check your Firmware version and Baseband version by go into Settings, General, About. If it is really the (1) case, then sorry, as of the date 23rd March 2009, yellowsn0w is not having solution to unlock baseband 2.30.03 on iPhone 3G yet. All you can do, is either wait for yellowsn0w, or get a RebelSimcard/TurboSimcard/XSimcard or whatever addon simcard at LowYat Plaza’s handphone shops, which cost you some hundred bugs (Please note that these addon simcards DO has some problems, choose this and you need to take the risk).

If it is (2), then easy, remove the simcard pin code using your old phone and put back into iPhone and reboot it. It will be all right now.

If it is (3), then even easy, redo the whole process carefully this time and it will do the trick.

Thank you for your time to read on this.
