stupid me i’ve upgraded my iphone 3Gs to firmware IOS4..

so while installing – it requires a valid SIM card which it does not recognize my Celcom 3G SIM card..

what should i do now? do i have to have a Maxis or DiGi 3G SIm card to activate my iphone?
can i still use my celcom instead? :(

    anyone can help?

    thanks

    Hi Akulagi,

It actually not depence on the simcard, but the device itself is a lock set or unlock set. If your device is lock set, you will not able to “activate” even you have a “valid” simcard.

If you have Mac OS machine, you may try PwnageTool 4.0. Else, wait until someone release the modified IPSW on to internet.

    hi watson…

    thanks for responding..

when i install, it says to insert a valid SIM card. Also i’ve checked the serial number from USiphone and its a malaysia’s phone and its says either Digi or Maxis is the carrier..

another question – if i insert a 3G maxis pre paid – after activated – then if i insert the celcom 3G SIMcard does it work?

well i will try it shortly and see – hope it works or else – what should i do with it..?

    thanks again bro.. :)
