Hi all readers,
Apple had release new firmware for iPhone 2g/3g/3gs. Which is version 3.1.3.
As of now (5th Feb 2010), there are NO WAY to unlock version 3.1.3 yet.
So beware, DO NOT Upgrade to firmware 3.1.3 !!! You may just kill your iPhone if you upgrade to 3.1.3.

Im new to world of iPhone, used it for about a month. just know about this after i accidentally update my iPhone.. ive jailbroke it but no luck on unlock. try to downgrade the baseband using fuzzyband but my bootloader is 5.09! so sad

Hi Job,
Currently no unlock solution for firmware 3.1.3 yet. Unless you are using global unlock set. Else you will brick your iPhone.

Sorry to heard this. Anyway, what you can do now is – wait until the unlock software comes. Meantime you have an iPod Touch.

@lame the dev team is working on the unlock now but maybe it will be available when iphone 4g is released. hope our phone wont be ipod forever

While Apple’s 3.1.3 firmware was minor in terms of new features, it’s had the side effect of opening up a huge market for scam sites. These sites will promise you a 3.1.3 jailbreak for newer devices like the iPod touch 3G, or a baseband 05.12 software unlock. Those desperate enough to “just give it a shot” will find, 100% of the time, that they were misled. After money has changed hands they’ll be told “well the 05.12 unlock is coming, in the meantime here’s the 05.11 unlock” (of course the 05.11 unlock was intended to be free, as you all know). They’ll hold your money until one day the 05.12 unlock does come out, even if that’s months later (and of course it’ll be relehxxp www(dot)unlock-iphone-313(dot)com ased for free on ). In the meantime they’ll be able to claim they gave you part of what they advertised, and keep at least part of your money (in actuality they’ll usually keep all of it).

Today i went to a shop at Subang that say they can unlock all kind of iphone (2g, 3g, 3gs) not matter what the firmware and baseband is. well, it turn out to what i expected it to be. they’re using the same free method available on the net and charging it for a unbelievably 60 ringgit! do waste ur time like me guys.. currently there’s is NO unlock for my iphone3g 3.1.3 firmware on 5.12.01 baseband. U can try ur luck by jailbraking it using redsn0w tool and download fuzzyband at cydia to downgrade ur baseband (that is if ur bootrom is 5.08 and below). Mine is 5.09 :’(((

There is no way one can jb 3.1.3 yet… the dev team is working on in though, soon firmware 4 will be out so for those who are stuck with a locked 3.1.3 firmware, the time is not far away when you guys will be able to unlock it.

hi iz, ive already jb 3.1.3, just cannot unlock it tho. 1stgen iphone firmware can be downgraded using fuzzyband installed through cydia. thus, able it for unlock.
iphone 4g are rumored to be released on jun 2010, until then the dev team wont released the unlock. you can read it here:-

u r right, Ihsan!! it can be done!!! i did my jailbraking for my iPhone 3g 3.1.3 5days ago using redsnow..
the trick behind it, u must restore it using 3.1.2 software!!

I bought my iphone 3Gs 3 days ago and it was unlocked. However, I accidentally upgraded my OS to version 3.1.3. Bad move. I want to know why my iPhone is still able to use Digi as the carrier? I thought updating it would definitely make my iPhone lost its unlocked properties. My iPhone is never jailbroken because I didn’t see Clydia.

come to think of this, maybe AT&T sims have the same data cript as DIGI’s?

Dear all, I am using an iphone 3g. I did a stupid thing, I tried factory reset on my set, and my itunes auto update my set to firmware 3.1.3, baseband 05.12.01 and bootloader 5.9. Kirk_Hazry mentioned than u can restore your set to firmware 3.1.2. How is that doable? Please assist. thanks.

Hi All,
For iphone 3gs (MC Model) SHOULD NOT upgrade to 3.1.3 until June 2009 (After Iphone 4.0 launch) and waiting for Geohot and Devteam to release the latest full jailbreak software.
The rest may try to upgrade with redsnow(Recommended) and please check and confirm you have your SHSH backup on Cydia server before upgrade. (This upgrade does’nt make any changes or improve your iphone performance, some of my friends are facing battery issues after upgrade!!)
For 3g or 2g user if accidently upgrade to 3.1.3 may try to downgrade to 3.1.2 (Please Googling for the downgrade guide.)
Itunes will be force your iphone to upgrade 3.1.3 if you have checked the “Do not ask me again” button, please take note.

If : your devices has been jailbreak then should be: No different.
And another thing is, only 3gs latest model (MC Model and above) will really concern on “advantages and dis-advantages due to after upgraded was unable to JB.
For 3g and 2g still able to do it with redsnow(From what i know).
The only different for your devices should be :The version of Base-band and the Firmware. And so you are able to play the latest updated apps which only allowed for 3.1.3 but not for 3.1.2.

I can see recently there are a lot of iPhone owners looking for way to jailbreak and unlock their iphone set which is in 3.1.3.
FYI, as of today (28/4/2010), there are no official tool to jailbreak and unlock 3.1.3 yet. Please beware of some fake tools that saids can jailbreak and unlock 3.1.3, but actually install spyware and/or corrupt your iTunes (ex. Thunderst0rm, and TurboSn0w2).
Please stay cool and wait for the news from DEV Team to release the tool.

you can use spirit jailbreak (www.spiritjb.com) to jailbreak your iphone 3.1.3… only jailbreak and not for unlock that iphone……. have to wait until june.. perhaps that geohot will reveal a new software to unlock this version……
please read the instruction first before you begin to jailbreak your iphone. This spirit jailbreak cannot be used in unlock iphone….. but if you still want to use it…. be sure to remove your blacksnow/blackrain first before you start to jailbreak with spiritjb….
