CallerID Fix
Posted by Jas on Friday Apr 24, 2009 Under Tips
If you receive a call showing +6012-345678 on your Apple iPhone but not showing your friend name which save in your iPhone contact list. Why? This is because Malaysia doesn’t support regional format of your iPhone.
Here, I would like to share how to overcome this issue.
Step 1: Add Cydia Source http://www.ispaziorepo.com/cydia/apt/
Step 2: Download and install CallerID Fix from Cydia (search or go to All Packages)
Enjoy! Problem solved!

Hello! Just got my iPhone today. Without maxis plan coz I think their plans are ridiculous. Anyway, wanted to know, even though I’ve saved a name and their number to my contacts, even when they send me sms, their name doesn’t appear. Only their number. Will CallerID Fix repair this also?

Hello again! I seem to be having a problem with my iPhone. Yesterday I switched to a Digi line. All this while my contacts were saved as +601X-XXXXXXX. When I was using Maxis, the name of the number would show both when the person would call and when they would sms. After I switched to my Digi line, only when they sms, I can see the name. But when they call, their number comes out just 01X-XXXXXXX, without the +6. When I changed the number to just 01X-XXXXXXX, when they call, the name will come out but when they sms, no name. Just the number. I tried looking for Caller ID Fix but I can’t find it on Cydia. Can someone help me please?

Have you add Cydia REPO “http://www.ispaziorepo.com/cydia/apt/”?

How do I do that? When I clicked on the link you gave me it says I have no permission to view this document.

You can always put files on the phone, simply by connecting it to the USB port and starting one of the countless interface programs: iPhoneBrowser, DiskAid, iFunBox, …
Your iPhone must be jailbroken and with Cydia!
1. Download the Call ID Fix. deb from :
http://ispaziorepository.com/deb/callerid-fix-for-30.deb
2. Create a folder on your computer named Cydia and, inside that, one named AutoInstall
(mind the capital I). Put the .deb file(s) in AutoInstall.
3. With the tool of your choice (mine is DiskAid), navigate to /var/root/Media/ on your iPhone and put the Cydia folder there (with all its contents). Or if /var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall/ already exists, just drop the .deb files in there.
4. Reboot iPhone
This works for me on iPhone 3G iOS 4.1. Tray!

I own two iPhones, and I thouhgt iPhone contacts backup was quite difficult. But now I got an easy way with my friend’s help. All I need is to use this iPhone contacts backup software http://www.gutensoft.com/Utilities/backup-iphone-contacts-to-computer.html
It can easily help us backup iPhone contacts as well as contacts photos to computer. Besides, we can also use it to restore iPhone contacts backup back to iPhone.
